Bossasaurus - Lacerta

Bossasaurus is a bay area experimental electronica meets trip-hop-and-beats group (read: this is epic shit). Although they have put out a lot of creative hip-hop remixes (the likes of Tribe Called Quest, Busta Rhymes, Wu-Tang Clan..), many on their 2009 mixtape STFUYMCA (Shove These Fossils Up Your Magnificent Creationist Ass), this is far from the limit of their creative repertoire.

This clearly shows on their new EP Lacerta. I don't really know how to describe the sound of this album. It definitely fills some of the classifications for experimental electronica, dubstep, dance, beat music, and hip hop. The result is an extremely varied EP that is danceable and listenable. Beginning with a beautiful, multilayered and ethereal intro, Lacerta travels through multiple styles and feels, and ends with a dance anthem or two. Its definitely worth the ride.

The EP Lacerta is offered on Bossasaurus' bandcamp on a name-your-price basis, so you have NO EXCUSE not to check it out. At the very minimum, enjoy the fat bass in "Light Pollution" below.
